The other jobs he did were to build the structure for the walk in wardrobes as well as build more structure around the shower. When I got home from work I did some timber cutting for him although I proved to be slightly out of practice (that's a polite way of saying I was pretty abysmal). In my defence our new chop saw seems to have aged considerably over the last few months and its now slightly stiff and rusty. At least I didn't waste any wood getting the wrong measurements which I do have previous history off. I sometimes get confused with mm's and cm's but fortunately I didn't make any of those mistakes today. So overall it was a very productive day. Unfortunately G is back to the day job tomorrow for a seven day stretch. That means he is working the weekend and we both don't enjoy that. I have plans for the weekend to do loads of painting to impress him when he gets home but we will see how that works out.
| G int he wardrobe |
We finished this evening with a two mile run, G&T's in the bath and followed by take-away Chinese as a treat.
Tomorrow I am away with work for two days in Bristol and staying with my Mum and Dad overnight - another field visit with my boss on Thursday! G is on lates so probably won't be much going on site for a few days.
It's good G can do so much himself!!! J doesn't like trades people alone in our house so when we had work done he took the day off and stood about 1 foot away from them at all times, drinking coffee. I pointed out to him how unnerving that might be for someone trying to do a job, but he's unrelenting. I finally convinced him he could give them more working free space but in return he takes a picture of the liscence plate on their vehicles (covertly) when they arrive. Is it obvious his grandpa was a cop? hee hee. Annie I hope you get along well with your boss 'cause it seems like you have to put up with him/her riding along a lot! That would be pain! Speaking of pain, I did some serious damage? to my glutes by overdoing it on the leg press at the Y. 50 didn't seem like a lot of reps at the time, but I'm paying the price today. It only hurts when I sit. *sigh* Have fun working you guys, catch you later when you have a chance to post xo Jennie
ReplyDeletehey jennie 50 reps is a lot!! no wonder your glutes hurt ;) maybe stand up and work?? Annie your measuring sounds cool - if I was doing it there would probably be very small wardrobes and you could only hang clothes that came up or down to your waist!!
ReplyDeleteI'm around tomorrow if you fancy a hot tub and a break from the painting? I have plans to paint as well as this is the season for viewers to appear but you know how plans go....!! :)
