I am blogging remotely again. This time I am in a hotel in Leicester as I am away for a two day meeting so I having to blog from a far. Its hard to really know how things are going at home because G's telephone manner does leave a little bit to be desired. It does sound like his consumption of oven chips has gone up since I have left. He continues to be busy at work but he wasn't home late tonight and managed to get the ceiling of the stair well plastered. Apparently it was a very tricky job and he found it hard going.
I asked him to email me a photo so I could put them on the blog, when I spoke to him on the phone he said he done it already and I commented that a picture of the ceiling after it had been plastered might not come over that well. He told me not to worry he had managed to get a good photo. I was slightly surprised when I opened it and found the photo that I have posted. I think its meant to be because of him being plastered again! At least it makes a change from the plastering photos
I love a nice wine bottle. The labels are getting so nice nowadays! I have to say they sway my purchase more than they probably should. I've never been to Leicester but I hope it's nice and that you're enjoying your meeting Annnie :)
ReplyDeleteLeicester is so not a nice place Jenny so hope the hotel is good for Annie - apologies if anyone following the blog is from Leicester - maybe I've just seen the dodgy bit near the athletics track!! Just poured a wine as I've been painting - such hard work! - I really don't know how you guys do it each night and keep your house so tidy during the project - I spilt more paint on me, the carpet and then the hall floor as there was paint on the soles of my feet!!! I expect G is enjoying a glass now...look forward to having you back in Bude Annie - hope week going well xx
ReplyDeleteYeah Jenny have to say I agree with Mogsy - and hotel is very samey - no character just big hotel. I don't enjoy being away and really miss home. I feel hemmed in by all the urban sprawl. Can't wait to get home and breath some sea air.
ReplyDeleteAs for keeping the house tidy during the build that tends to be G's department. Although I love it when you write comments like that about spilling paint and walking in it as G can't beleive what a mess I create! Its a good job you haven't actually made it on site to help Mogsy as we could cause total chaos together - not sure G would cope.
