I am still blogging remotely as I am staying with my parents again tonight. It was G's last night of the week as he is off for the next three days.
He couldn't do any plastering tonight until he had done some more stud work and plasterboard. You can't plaster any wall unless all the walls adjacent to it have been plaster boarded. Before he could plasterboard the wall he had to build the stud work where are bed is going to go.
To position the bed make the best use of the room with all the sloping ceilings we are going to build the head board into the eves and have built in bedside tables on either side. G had to build the stud work for this tonight so that he can plasterboard this and then plaster.
He has emailed me the photo of the work he has done this evening this is where the bed head will go. The photo has dust spots on it - I think he probably swept the floor just before taking the photo. I think he is doing an amazing job I can't believe how hard he is working. When I spoke to him earlier he sounded exhausted. I wish I was there to help him. He has also run out of oven chips! He was thinking about going to the pub but when he spoke to me he sounded too tired to make it. I am missing him loads and looking forward to being home and mixing some plaster for him and cooking him some meals that don't involve oven chips :-)
This looks really nice! I can envision the finished product! Poor G. I bet he'll be very happy to have you home. Do they do food delivery in Bude? When I'm too tired to cook or go out, I call for a pizza. Then the only thing to worry about is being dressed enough to answer the door :P
ReplyDeleteIts great to be able to see it getting close to the finished product. We live in the sticks so we can't get delivery - I will have to go home and cook for him :-)
ReplyDeleteHey Annie maybe when you set up the B&B you should set up a pizza delivery business too! Kez and Ben made their own homemade pizza today - you could employ them :) Jenny - Kez is my daughter - very into cooking!
ReplyDeleteHa ha if when we set up a B&B I think breakfast will probably take it out of me - can't imagine I will have it within me to do any more cooking for the day/week! :-)
ReplyDeleteAh but I can see it now! Creo's Pizza Creations! You could make really cool mini pizzas and deliver them by bike once a week. I bet within a year or so, you'd have franchises around the UK. Kez and Ben could do one in their area :)
