Not a lot of building done

We both had busy days at work but G managed to get back and do something with the electrics and get a swim in before I got home.  When I got home it was all hands on deck as G and I prepared a Jamie Oliver 30 minute meal for Sue and Don.  There is no way one person could do the meal in 30 minutes but within a an hour both of us had easily prepared it all .  G kept on finding things to clean in the cupboards so was slightly distracted!  Good job I remained focussed ;-).

It was a lovely meal with a raspberry sprizter (we modified it slightly and used champagne) Crispy Salmon with jazzed-up rice, baby courgette salad and gorgeous guacamole.  The food sas lovely and Don and Sue were great company. At the end of the meal G got out a bottle of rum from his submarine days that he had not drunk for 20 years.  I think we will all be feeling a little jaded this morning.  Happy birthday to Sue for today!  We are going to the cafe for a birthday lunch today which should be good.

Here are the photos unfourtunately we forgot to take it a the beginning with the food all laid out  - so the photo just shows the empty dishes! woops.

The remains of the meal!

The best photo of G & Don & Trafalgar Rum
(at least they both have their eyes open in this one!)
