Sunday Sunday

Loads of work done today, without being too stressy.  We also managed a coffee break and an lunch break at the new cafe - a full hour.  Obviously sleeping with the boss has finally paid off! Or it could have been that he took pity on my hangover :-).

Today we managed to get another coat of paint on the ceiling and walls of the tricky middle bedroom - it still has some real problem areas with flaking paint patches but overall its looking a million times better.  We also did some painting in the hall way.  G also glossed the bits that need glossing.  The photo shows him saying 'Tada'.  He also glossed a few doorways something that he normally avoids when I am at home as he is paranoid that delicate little me will bump into them all.  He has put lots of wet paint signs up in the desperate attempt to remind me about them.

I also managed transform the pine bed that we have with liming wax.  Its given the pine a whitewashed beachy look that we are loving.  We have Sue to thank for that one.  She lent us a tub so we could trial it on a small area.  Strangely the whole bed done looks even better than the trial patch so we are very pleased.  Can't wait to put it all back together and in the room when the carpets are laid. The first photo shows me doing the job in the garden.  I know it looks like I am wearing a bib but it was because I had to wire brush all the pine first to bring up the grain and it created loads of dust.  So the 'bib' is actually a make shift dust mask that was round my neck.  I did ask G it taking one photo was enough but he said it looked fine.  When I mentioned about my eyes  being closed he just said I thought you looked happy.  The other photo shows the the completed bed ends and you can also see the grey paint in the photo that we have painted in the hallway.

G was also busy this afternoon fixing his car that just failed his MOT.  Failing his MOT is an annual occurrence that does not stress him just means he has to do a few jobs.

We finished the day with run and a sea pool swim and G has just cooked up another Jamie Oliver meal for us.  This time its 'Lemon and herb chicken and mash'  I have downloaded a new free app for my i phone that has 13 of Jamies recipes.  It gives you the shopping list that you can tick off in store and step by step instructions of how to cook it.  It was well yummy and well quick!
